Ford

You could look all the way back to 1901 and find the Ford name on an automotive company – it was then that Henry Ford launched the Henry Ford Company that became Cadillac less than a year later. In 1903, the Ford Motor Company was launched, and it was, ironically, funded by John and Horace Dodge – the two that eventually started Dodge. While this is a little strange, the Ford Motor Company has survived more than 100 years and is, as of 2015, the fifth largest automaker in the world. Ford is based out of Dearborn Michigan and sells a variety of models from the performance-oriented Mustang and GT to a long list of SUVs and Pickups. The cheapest new Ford available today is the $14,260 Fiesta, while the Ford GT comes in at the most expensive, commanding close to, if not more than $500,000.

Ford Didn't Even Bother To Check if the Coyote V-8 Would Fit in the 2021 Bronco

Ford Didn’t Even Bother To Check if the Coyote V-8 Would Fit in the 2021 Bronco

Imagine the horror if it can’t happen and all aftermarket swap ideas have to be scrapped too!

When the Bronco was unveiled, a lot of us were disappointed by the absence of a V-8 mill. But, we still had hopes that it could become a reality someday. However, Ford made it clear that a V-8 will not be offered here. Although we had our deliberations, this confirmation from Ford served as the final nail in the coffin.

It has now come to light that Ford was sure about not offering one right from the start. In fact, it even built the Bronco without bothering to check if a V-8 engine could be plonked in or not! Speaking with Ford Authority, Bronco’s Chief Engineer, Eric Loefller said that they hadn’t even given it a shot during its development days.

The supercar has just 300 miles on the odo, comes with a plethora of optional accessories, and is going for nearly a million dollars!

The mid-engined Ford GT first debuted back in 2004 and was in production for a couple of years. Based on the credibility of the GT40, which recorded four consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans wins from 1966 to 1969, this moniker is significant in the company’s history.

In 2015, Ford announced that the GT was being brought back after a decade-long exile. The car is selling like hotcakes and a number of special editions are already launched, but there’s no denying that the GT is still quite an exclusive car. However, one example recently arrived on Bring-a-Trailer and has caught our attention.

You don’t find this kind of police chase in the news very often

A Hennessey Velociraptor 6x6 belonging to DJ Marshmello has found itself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The massive custom Ford Raptor with three axles and six wheels featured in one of the most surreal car chases in Los Angeles in recent memory after a lunatic stole it in a local dealership where it was being serviced. The lengthy police pursuit ultimately ended when the driver of the VelociRaptor crashed into a light pole outside of a Taco Bell. The driver’s identity has yet to be released, but he did find himself with plenty of charges on his hands.

Ford Draws The Evolutionary Line At the Electric F-150

The Blue Oval has ruled out the possibility of an electric Super Duty truck

Ford hasn’t revealed a lot of details about the electric F-150 yet. Other than its train-pulling stunt and the teaser image revealed recently, there isn’t much known about it. Now, however, we have a big update. As it turns out, Ford doesn’t have any plans to build an electric Super Duty truck. Ford Knows It Can’t Compete With Porsche and Tesla; More Affordable EVs Coming

It may look like Ford’s backing away from a fight, but this is a really smart move!

Ford is the world’s fifth-largest automaker and there is a reason behind it. One can argue the company’s strategic moves over the years, but there’s no denying that Ford knows what it’s doing. Now with the world moving towards electrification, Ford has decided to pick its battles carefully and position itself as more of an affordable EV maker than a premium one that sells cars with six-digit price tags.

The company’s CEO, Jim Farley, has promised that Ford will be making electric vehicles starting from as low as $20,000 and not go past the $70,000 bracket. It looks like Ford is going for volume over profits in this segment. Is it a smart move?

2021 Ford Bronco V-8 VelociRaptor by Hennessey

2021 Ford Bronco V-8 VelociRaptor by Hennessey

The tuner has officially inducted the Bronco into its stable by plonking a V-8 engine under the hood

The only chink in Bronco’s armor is the missing V-8 engine under the hood. Although Ford matched the Jeep Wrangler in every aspect, dare I say, even better in some, the lack of a V-8 will be a deal-breaker for some folks. However, aftermarket tuners have grabbed on to this opportunity. PaxPower was one of the first companies to announce a Bronco V-8 and soon many companies jumped the wagon. The latest one to do so is Hennessey Performance.

Hennessey has announced that it will be building a VelociRaptor version of the Ford Bronco with a V-8 mill that will churn out 750 horses. This will be a limited-edition build and will cost around four-times the cost of a standard Bronco. Is it worth it?

Watch a Ford Galaxie Kick Major Ass At 2020 Goodwood SpeedWeek

50-year old race car finally gets its just due

You don’t often see a 3,600-pound 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 participating in any kind of sanctioned race. Even rare is the sight of a Galaxie 500 destroying the competition in a sanctioned race at the 2020 Goodwood SpeedWeek. Driven by 2016 BTCC Championship runner-up Sam Tordoff, the mountain of a Ford tore through a field of classic race cars that included Lotus Cortinas and Mini Coopers as if those cars were battery-operated. It was an incredible display of nostalgic might for a car that, back in its time, was considered too fast for track racing and too heavy for drag racing. More than 50 years after it was launched, the Galaxie 500 finally had its day at the 2020 Goodwood SpeedWeek, and it was glorious to see.
