Ferrari Hypercar Mule Spotted Testing
Ferrari’s most recent supercar, the LaFerrari, was introduced in 2013. The coupe remained in production until 2016, when Ferrari launched the Aperta, which was built until 2018. It’s been two years since the LaFerrari was discontinued and the Maranello-based company is now testing a supercar that looks awfully familiar.
Spotted by our paparazzi on public roads, this prototype is clearly based on the LaFerrari, yet it sports some unique features as well. Is Ferrari building a special-edition LaFerrari? Is this an upcoming successor to the LaFerrari?
Can the Chinese-Built Xpeng P7 Hold Its Own on American Soil?
Spotting an electric car on a public road used to be a rare event a few years ago. As more and more automakers join the niche, this is no longer the case, because EVs are now more common and more affordable. And several carmakers are preparing their assault on the electric car market.
China’s Xpeng is one of them. Established only six years ago, Xpeng unveiled its second production model, the P7, in 2020 and it wants to sell it in the United States. The P7 was displayed at the New York Stock Exchange earlier this year and it was driven for the first time on U.S. soil.

Amazing European Concepts That Never Made it To Production
The old continent is home to some of the oldest automotive manufacturers. Since the late 19th century, they’ve been churning out legendary vehicles, many of which have become the poster car of their era.
Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari F40, Porsche 911, Jaguar F-type, McLaren F1, and many others. Each of them has its own contribution to automotive culture. There are those, however, that never made it into production. Nevertheless, they are some of the most epic concepts from European manufacturers that, sadly, never saw the light of day.
Porsche Tinkering with a Minivan Concept is Why the Unseen Campaign is Awesome
Porsche’s “Porsche Unseen” campaign is the gift that keeps on giving. We’ve already seen two teasers of models that never made it to production, and now, the German automaker has dropped the third teaser of what looks to be a concept that goes against everything we thought Porsche stood for. The teaser doesn’t do much in showing the actual car, but a quick edit of the image’s brightness and exposure reveals a car that Porsche describes as a “futuristic vehicle with an autonomous driving mode.” It’s not exactly a pillar of everything that Porsche stands for, is it? There’s more to the teaser, too, specifically what the image editing reveals about its interior. Of all the teasers that Porsche has released for its Porsche Unseen campaign, this one is undoubtedly the most curious of them all.
The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door S Set a New Nürburgring Record
The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door has a new (old) record to add to its shelf after reclaiming the fastest lap around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in the “luxury class” segment.
The AMG GT 63 S 4-Door reclaimed the title from the Porsche Panamera Turbo S after AMG development engineer Demian Schaffert clocked a time ofseven minutes and 27.8 seconds (7:27.8) for the 12.944-mile-long version of the race track with straight-line measurement for track section T13 and seven minutes and 23.009 seconds for the old 12.8-mile-long version without the straight-line measurement for track section T13.
The new record serves as validation for Mercedes-AMG after the automaker took to social media to suggest that “it’s high time to hit the track again” after the Panamera Turbo S beat the GT 63 S 4-Door’s old record by 0.3 seconds. Mission accomplished, Mercedes-AMG.

Porsche Has An Interesting Idea to Save Old Cars As The Electric Apocalypse Inches Closer
The majority of cars in production in 2020 still feature internal combustion engines, but this may change in 20 years. Classic cars may still be allowed to use their gas and diesel engines, but the amount of time you will be allowed to drive them on public roads may be strictly regulated.
Retrofitting such cars with electric motors will be difficult and expensive and at least one carmaker is looking for a solution. Porsche things that synthetic fuel may solve this problem and keep valuable classics on the road.

Remember the Vision iNext concept that BMW unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show? It’s now called the iX, and it’s one step closer to production. Although it’s still a concept vehicle, the iX doesn’t look as futuristic as the iNext, but it previous technology that we will find in BMW production models in the future.
